Emulaton Technology Expands ASAP Service to Base package emulators and flat pin array sockets
SANTA CLARA, Calif,
November 16, 2004 — Emulation Technology, Inc. (ET), today introduces ASAP Service for their BGA socketing systems used for engineering development of microprocessor and FPGA systems using Ball Grid Array packaging technology.
Emulation Technology's ASAP Service allows a customer to choose how quickly he will receive his order by selecting 5-day, 7-day, or 10-day ASAP Service. For designers integrating a BGA device into their system design, ASAP Service means quicker delivery times for the sockets they need and completing projects on time.
ASAP Service is ideal for users developing, debugging (hand test), programming, and testing (qualification and production) with devices in the BGA package.
THE
BPE and FPA
The combination of the BPE (Base Package Emulator) sockets and FPA (Flat Pin Array) pin fields, as well as Screw Lock and Knob Lock BGA sockets are all useful and unique alternatives to soldering BGA devices directly to the target printed circuit board. Combined, they are reliable, cost effective and designed to provide results that are equivalent to direct PCB attach. Users can solder their BGA chip to the FPA for multiple insertions into a surface-mount BPE socket or socket their device in a Screw Lock or Knob Lock socket.
ASAP SERVICE MEANS
- Users can receive their BPEs and FPAs within 5 days.
- The user is in control of how quickly he can receive his order.
- Quicker delivery times, meaning completing projects on time.
- Options with BPE and FPA sockets available in lead pitches of 0.80mm, 1.00mm, and 1.27mm; grid sizes of 6X8 to 44X44, users can find their solution.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY At this time, ET's ASAP service is limited to a five-piece maximum. Contact ET directly for a price quote on rush delivery service for standard, custom and semi-custom sockets.
